If you're a regular festival attendee then chances are you've heard of one of Africa's biggest (and arguably dopest) festival, the annual Nyege Nyege Festival that goes down every year in Jinja, Uganda. Some have even dared to call it the world's best festival. Since 2015, the festival has grown to become a melting pot of culture, music, fashion and inclusivity for festival-goers all around the world. Bringing you the best of East Africa's underground music scene and some of the best electric dance music from across the globe, Nyege Nyege has become a staple on the annual festival calendar.
Hosted DJ Huilly Huille and Coco Em, on the second episode of Santuri Signal they sit down with Arlen Dilsizian one of the founders of the Nyege Nyege Tapes record label and the Nyege Nyege Festival. On this episode of the podcast, they talk about "the Nyege Nyege Team's unique mission to establish a project that showcases the transformations happening in contemporary African music."
